"My artwork is inspired by the beauty of nature and the natural world, particularly by the biodiversity of plant life that I experience through travel. The process of drawing and painting allows me to reflect upon the fundamental nature of things. Through close observation of the shapes, colors and textures of the specimen in front of me, I strive to create work that speaks to a deeper understanding of life around me. By occasionally blurring the boundaries between abstraction and representation, I hope to create artwork that can bring viewers to a place of deeper understanding and contemplation." |
